We’re so glad you’re here and taking the time to get to know us!
We are Tommy and Kerrie Sherman, proud parents of two daughters and even prouder grandparents to two grandsons—we’re completely smitten. Family is at the heart of everything we do, and that carries through to how we run our business.
Tommy has been in the automotive repair industry for 39 years, working on all types of vehicles. He is factory-trained in Honda/Acura and General Motors products and is an ASE Master Technician. Sherman’s Import Tek originally opened in 1997, operating until 2002, when a propane explosion destroyed the shop and forever changed our lives.
Tommy spent years in and out of burn centers and surgeries and was told he would never be able to work on vehicles again. He proved otherwise. Though he lives with ongoing pain from the accident, his determination and work ethic never faded. In 2007, he returned to the industry managing another repair shop, and in 2010, the opportunity arose to reopen Sherman’s Import Tek.
Over the years, our customers became friends and family—standing by us during Tommy’s leukemia battle and patiently waiting for our return. We’re proud to say Tommy is now cancer-free, and we are deeply grateful for the loyalty and support we’ve received.

Tommy handles all mechanical work to ensure every repair is done correctly and with care. Kerrie manages the office and customer service, making sure every customer feels informed and respected.
That means no hidden costs, no gimmicks, and no price gouging. We do charge for vehicle inspections because proper diagnostics take time, expertise, and resources. Rather than hiding costs later, we believe in transparency—offering honest pricing upfront and providing a full estimate before any repairs begin.
Our goal is to deliver the best possible value, quality workmanship, and a stress-free repair experience. We believe strongly in continued education and stay current with evolving automotive technology through ongoing training.
Outside the Shop
When we’re not working, we enjoy spending time with family, finding new places to eat, supporting local animal rescues, volunteering at food pantries, reading, puzzles, backyard barbecues, running 5Ks to half marathons, and hosting game nights with family and friends. We also love glamping trips to Eureka Springs and, of course, any extra time we can steal to laugh with our grandkids.
We’re big animal lovers, and chances are you’ll see—or hear—our furbabies around the shop!
